Sydney Hobart Yacht Race!!! (26 dec 08)

Sydney Hobart Yacht Race!!! (26 Dec 08)

today me and my sister went to see

the 64th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.
to see the whole view we gotta go to "The Gap"
It's basically a spot in Vaucluse that is right on the tip of a peninsula
that became "the gate" of exit from the Sydney harbour
towards
the big ocean on the east of Australia Plate
The race started very close to Vaucluse's peninsula
and from The Gap you can see the point where
the
sailing boats open their big sail.
That was interesting!
i might say that it's looking cute from further..
well, make it easier for you guys to see..
here are the pictures..

The Gap

the crowd @ The Gap

the view towards City from The Gap
those small dots in the sky are choopers.. there were 10 of em around..
this next picture is a closer look of the boats

the boats there are lining up,
they were getting ready to get started
but not all of em in the harbour are racing..
some are just ferries, some are small boats
that just want to mix with the crowd of boats
and feel the excitements n festive feelings of the event.

don't want to miss the chance,
BOSE put advertisement in the sky in this festive day.
(crowd around me n my sis)

as what i've said, not only boats that join in the race,
there are other boats that you wouldn't know where are they come from..
in the pic below, it's me and the big dark thing on the water is
the pirate's ship..
yup those old ship like what you've saw in the pirates of carribean

pardon me i can't smile beautifully, coz it was so hot n so bright..
even tho i wore my Oakley dart it's still quite bright..

closer look of the sailing boat and pirate ship.

Talking about hot, at the end i put off my hat (coz it was very windy)
and took out my umbrella n i hold i low
lucky i use my umbrella, coz if i didn't i guess my hat will burnt... XD
even my umbrella was burning hot!!
my skin turned red after that..

That was a very crowded day..

----all pic taken by my 8MP mobilecam C905----
i wanted to blog it, but not yet
prolly after awhile i'll discuss my C905
ciaoz..
